Biography
Professor Xiang Qian is an internationally recognized clinician-scientist at Stanford University School of Medicine, with joint appointments in anesthesiology and neurosurgery. He also serves as Medical Director of International Medical Services at Stanford Health Care and holds leadership roles in several interdisciplinary clinical innovation initiatives.
His research and clinical expertise focus on neuromodulation technologies, facial pain treatment, chronic pain management, and intelligent medical device development, particularly in the integration of wearable and implantable neurotechnology into precision clinical practice.
Professor Qian plays a leading role in advancing translational collaborations between biomedical engineering, neuroscience, and clinical medicine through initiatives such as the Stanford Wearable Electronics Initiative (eWEAR). His work continues to drive innovation at the intersection of digital health, neurotechnology, and next-generation intelligent healthcare systems.
