I-Chin Huang

I-Chin Huang, PhD, is an Assistant Researcher at the Biomedical Artificial Intelligence Academy, Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), Taiwan. She received her PhD in Nursing from KMU and her Master’s degree in Nursing from National Taiwan University. She was also a visiting scholar at the School of Nursing, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she completed doctoral-level coursework. Dr. Huang has a multidisciplinary professional background spanning clinical nursing, nursing education, community care, and healthcare research. Her clinical experience includes oncology and medical-surgical nursing, followed by extensive teaching and clinical education experience in nursing programs. Prior to her current position, she served as an Assistant Professor in nursing at Shu-Zen Junior College of Medicine and Management (SZMC). Her research interests focus on digital health, nursing informatics, smart healthcare technologies, technology-enhanced nursing and patient education, cancer care, osteoporosis care, and community health. Her recent work particularly explores the integration of artificial intelligence, virtual reality (VR), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into healthcare and nursing education. She has participated in research and educational projects supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital. Her scholarly work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals, including *Journal of Nursing Scholarship*, *Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing*, and *Journal of the Formosan Medical Association*.
