Yi-Lwun Ho

Yi-Lwun Ho is the Vice Superintendent of National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH). At the same time, he is also the Director of the Telehealth Center of NTUH. He had been Associate Dean and Director of Branch Office of Academic Affairs in the of College of Medicine, National Taiwan University (NTUCM), Director of the Department of Internal Medicine in NTUH, Director of the Smart Health Technology R&D Center in NTU, and Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine in NTU School of Medicine. He is also Professor (joint appointment) of Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine, Graduate Institute of Medical Genomics and Proteomics, Graduate Institute of Medical Devices and Imaging in NTUCM, and Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering in College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, NTU.

Dr. Ho began his medical studies in 1983 at the NTU School of Medicine, receiving his MD in 1990. He then completed residency training in the Department of Internal Medicine of NTUH (1990-1993), and chose to specialize in cardiology, fulfilling his fellowship training in the Section of Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine, NTUH (1993-1995). In 1998, Dr. Ho commenced doctoral studies at the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine, NTUCM; his PhD was conferred in 2003. He also completed an Executive MBA (EMBA) at the Graduate Institute of Information Management, NTU College of Management (2010-2012).

His academic positions include Clinical Assistant Professor (since 2001) at NTU School of Medicine, and Assistant Professor at the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine, NTUCM (since 2006). He is also Director of the Heart Failure Center of NTUH, a position he has held since 2008. Dr. Ho previously served as Secretary of the Taiwan Society of Atherosclerosis and Cardiovascular Disease from 2001 to 2010. He served as Director of the Information Management Division of NTUCM from 2016 to 2019.

Since his first publication in 1994, Dr. Ho has authored or co-authored more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals, most recently with a focus on telehealth programs and their application to modern medical practice.
