Biography
I am currently the Director of the Department of Neurology at Kaohsiung Medical University Gangshan Hospital, an Attending Staff Neurologist at Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital, and an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, Kaohsiung Medical University.
I have more than 15 years of clinical experience in neurology and have served as an attending neurologist since 2011. From 2019 to 2023, I served as Director of the Stroke Center at Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital. I have also been actively involved in medical education, serving as an Assistant Professor from 2018 to 2025 and as an Associate Professor since 2025.
My research interests focus on cerebrovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease and cognitive impairment, and clinical neurophysiology. My research has investigated biomarkers and risk factors associated with stroke outcomes, cerebral small vessel disease, Alzheimer's disease progression, and treatment response. I am also interested in applying advanced analytical approaches to investigate the relationships between electrophysiological signals and cognitive function.
I have published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals. My representative research achievements include studies on electronegative low-density lipoprotein L5 and cognitive decline, gut microbiota and outcomes after stroke recanalization therapy, plasma metabolic biomarkers in acute ischemic stroke, pharmacogenetic factors affecting response to donepezil, and longitudinal progression of Alzheimer's disease.
