Yun-Chi Lu
Biography
Yun-Chi Lu, Ph.D., is the CEO and Co-Founder of PrecisemAb Biotech and a co-inventor of the company’s Universal Antibody Lock™ technology. She received her Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of Medicine at Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), Taiwan, where she subsequently conducted postdoctoral research in Professor Tian-Lu Cheng’s laboratory. Her research has focused on antibody engineering and disease-directed activation of antibody therapeutics, with particular interest in translating innovative biologics from academic discoveries into drug development.
Dr. Lu has contributed to the development of Antibody Lock technology from its early academic research through translational development and commercialization. Her research on selectively activated antibodies and antibody engineering has been published in journals including PLOS Biology, Chemical Science, and Journal of Biomedical Science. She received the 2021 Postdoctoral Researcher Academic Research Award from Taiwan’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in recognition of her academic research achievements.
At PrecisemAb, Dr. Lu leads the development and commercialization of Antibody Lock™ as a platform for next-generation antibody therapeutics. Under her leadership, PrecisemAb was selected as a Hi-Po Star by Taiwan’s Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs. Her career spans academic research, translational drug development, and biotechnology entrepreneurship, reflecting her commitment to transforming scientific discoveries into therapeutic innovations.
