Biography
Dr. Kim F. Chiang is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Primary Care and Population Health (PCPH) at Stanford University School of Medicine. She serves as Medical Director of the Stanford Internal Medicine Clinic, where she oversees clinical operations for a high-volume academic primary care practice. Dr. Chiang is also Core Faculty for the Stanford Internal Medicine Residency Program and Director of Graduate Medical Education for the Division of PCPH.
In these roles, she serves on multiple task forces and working groups that help steer the implementation of AI tools into frontline clinical practice, and shapes how both resident and faculty physicians are trained to use AI responsibly and effectively in clinical care. Dr. Chiang has a particular interest in integrating emerging tools and standards into the residency curriculum and faculty development efforts.
A graduate of Northwestern University’s Honors Program in Medical Education (BS, MD) and Boston University (Internal Medicine residency), Dr. Chiang is board-certified in Internal Medicine and previously served as President of the Northern California Taiwanese Medical Association (2022–2023).
